Spinning Gear Game

This game started out as a prototype for my Game Methodology class, done for a rapid prototyping assignment over the course of two weeks.
Prototype Title Screen
After the first week some of the most notable feedback that I received was that there needed to be some way to track the progress of the player. Something to measure their success after they finished the game. I was given many suggestions on how to do so, but I settled on adding a timer to track how long the player stayed alive, as well as a counter of the amount of enemies they manages to shoot while playing.
Instructional Animation
Another piece of feedback that I received was that the instructions on the start page was not clear about how to control the gear. Instead of try to explain the movement in words, I added an animation of the cursor spinning the gear right into the first screen so the player cannot miss how movement works.
New Title Screen With Animation
In the now finished game, the goal is to last as long as possible and survive the waves of enemies. The last bit of feedback that I acted on was giving the player health instead of one life, meaning the game ends if they let five enemies reach them instead of instantly after one mistake.
